Steelcase, a global design and thought leader in the world of work, has named Apex Spring & Stamping a 2024 Carbon Reduction Leader for its commitment to science-based emissions reductions.
Steelcase set science-based climate crisis targets in 2020, including a commitment to engage 80% of its suppliers by emissions to set their own science-based targets by 2025. This commitment recognizes the importance and necessity of collective action and the opportunity to create a greater impact on the world we share.
“Steelcase has long been a leader in sustainability,” said Derek Ludwig, Steelcase vice president and chief procurement officer. “We were the first in our industry to set ambitious science-based targets and to become carbon neutral in our operations. Because we know that addressing climate change requires collective action, we count our suppliers among our most important partners.
