Steelcase, a global design and thought leader in the world of work, has named Apex Spring & Stamping a 2024 Carbon Reduction Leader for its commitment to science-based emissions reductions.
Steelcase set science-based climate crisis targets in 2020, including a commitment to engage 80% of its suppliers by emissions to set their own science-based targets by 2025. This commitment recognizes the importance and necessity of collective action and the opportunity to create a greater impact on the world we share.
“Steelcase has long been a leader in sustainability,” said Derek Ludwig, Steelcase vice president and chief procurement officer. “We were the first in our industry to set ambitious science-based targets and to become carbon neutral in our operations. Because we know that addressing climate change requires collective action, we count our suppliers among our most important partners. Apex Spring and Stamping has joined Steelcase in this work by committing to science-based emissions reductions, and so we are pleased to recognize them as a 2024 Carbon Reduction Leader.”
