Apex Spring and Stamping has been tier 2-3 in the automotive industry since the beginning of the company’s formation in the late ‘70s. We have made a concerted effort to seek out electronic vehicle manufacturers directly and through our current customer base because we see this trend as the future for automotive.

One of the big pushes in EV (electric vehicle) is weight reduction. One OEM EV customer reached out to us for design help to produce a mechanism that would maintain its general function and reduce weight by 40%.

This was a lofty goal. Our engineering team went to work partnering with our supply base and OEM to iterate different designs and levels of our mechanism. We did this through FEA (Finite Element Analysis) work on the inside and outside along with our materials team and supply base. Using our 3D printing capabilities, we were able to provide samples for testing and evaluation.

This success was a major win since the EV market is always looking for ways to improve the range of their vehicles through weight reduction.

Whatever your needs are, we can help you. Apex is committed to solving the hard questions and achieving success for our customers.
